Theses sometimes admit that published values of a quantity disagree, by orders of magnitude or by a factor. This is a searchable list of 733 of those admissions, found across 146,986 theses read end to end. 540 give a reason for the spread, and those come first. How far to trust it. A text pattern found the passages and a model read them. Every quote is checked word for word against the thesis text. Only 16 quantities come up at two or more institutions. Every other entry comes from a single institution and is unconfirmed. Absence from this list is not evidence of agreement.
